Facilitated in-home visits
Where a SWGA aide is already in the home, the aide can help the patient set up the device and connect. Clinical care stays with you.
Digital waiting room
Patients check in, confirm they are in Georgia, test camera and microphone and sign telehealth consent before you admit them.
Open times and requests
Publish weekly hours, visit length and time off. Patients request an open time; double booking is blocked automatically.
Practice seats
Office plans let the plan owner invite additional clinicians up to the plan's seat limit. Only the owner manages billing.
Home care referral path
Send homebound or post-discharge patients to SWGA Homecare for non-medical personal care, companion support and respite.
Clinical and legal boundaries
Clinical authority stays entirely with you.
The model is deliberately narrow: technology and coordination, never clinical direction or fee splitting.
You remain independently licensed and solely responsible for clinical care, clinical judgement, documentation, medical billing and payer participation. SWGA Homecare does not employ you, direct your practice or practise medicine.
SWGA Homecare provides technology, scheduling and coordination infrastructure only. This structure is built around Georgia's corporate practice of medicine doctrine.
Fees are a flat monthly technology and network access charge. Nothing is paid or received per patient, per visit or per referral, consistent with the Georgia Patient Self-Referral Act (O.C.G.A. § 43-1B) and federal anti-kickback rules.
The network does not diagnose, prescribe, provide medical advice or perform clinical intake. Visit records hold scheduling details only — never clinical notes.
Participation, scope of services, licensure, payer participation and availability vary by provider. Listing in the directory begins only after credentialing is complete.

Active, unrestricted Georgia licence verified at the source, or a compact privilege covering Georgia.

Exclusion screening (OIG LEIE, SAM.gov, Georgia DCH)
Re-checked monthly once the provider is listed in the network.

Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB)
- Telemedicine care must meet the same standard as an in-person Georgia visit, with a documented record.
- A local emergency escalation and follow-up pathway must be identified for each patient.
- Controlled substance prescribing requires DEA registration, a Georgia GDNA permit and compliance with federal and Georgia telemedicine prescribing limits.

Georgia Board of Nursing and Georgia Composite Medical Board
- Record the delegating physician and confirm that physician's active Georgia licence.
- Prescriptive authority is limited to Schedule III–V in Georgia; Schedule II is not independently prescribable.
Behavioral Health
Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage & Family Therapists
- A documented crisis escalation plan is required, including local crisis resources and 988 protocols.
- Psychiatry delivered by a physician follows the physician track instead.
PT/OT/SLP
Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy, Board of Occupational Therapy, and Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
- Tele-rehabilitation sessions must include a home safety review, including fall risk.
- Record compact privileges where the therapist practises across state lines.

Georgia Board of Nursing (GBON)
- Nurses may not diagnose or set an independent medical treatment plan.
- Identify the supervising physician or APRN for any assessment or monitoring protocol.
- Record current BLS/CPR certification.
Healthcare Organization
Applicable Georgia facility or agency licensure and each clinician's own board
- Verify the organisation's own licensure plus credentialing for every clinician it lists.
- The organisation remains responsible for its clinicians' supervision and documentation.
