Founding VP, Technology & Engineering
Owns the company's technology architecture. This is an entrepreneurial founding-stage opportunity to build the platform, engineering standards, and security architecture from the ground up.
Employment type: Strategic executive / part-time or fractional to start, with potential to expand as funding and company operations grow.

The mission
Own platform architecture, product direction, and engineering standards for the systems that coordinate care — client and family portals, caregiver scheduling and visit verification, and the tools supporting our provider network — while setting the technical safeguards that protect health information.
What you'll own
- Own platform architecture and the product roadmap
- Set engineering standards, code review practices, and release discipline
- Design and maintain the technical safeguards that protect health information
- Own access controls, session handling, and encryption practices
- Lead security reviews of third-party vendors and services
- Architect data exchange with partner clinics and provider record systems
- Own electronic visit verification and field data reliability
- Plan infrastructure, monitoring, and uptime as usage grows
- Represent the technical architecture in partner and investor diligence reviews
- Build and lead the engineering function as funding allows
Bootstrap orientation
We are looking for an entrepreneurial engineering leader who is comfortable creating a technology function from the ground up, moving between hands-on build work and architectural decisions, working with limited resources, and communicating directly with the founder and executive leadership team.
Preferred background
- Senior engineering leadership experience, ideally including a founding or first-engineer role
- Hands-on experience designing and shipping production web platforms
- Working knowledge of health information privacy and security requirements
- Experience with healthcare data exchange standards is a strong plus
- Comfortable operating with limited resources at a pre-launch company
- Clear communicator with non-technical executives and partners
