ALBANY, Ga. — September 28, 2026 — South West Georgia Homecare has launched a search for its founding leadership team as the Southwest Georgia-focused healthcare company moves into its next phase of organizational development.
The company is seeking entrepreneurial leaders to help build the functions that will underpin its care delivery model, technology platform, capital strategy, clinical governance, partnerships, operations, and public presence.
Seven founding executive positions are now open across the organization: Founding VP, Grants & Strategic Funding; Founding VP, Finance & Capital; Founding VP, Strategic Partnerships; Founding VP, Communications & Community Affairs; Founding VP, Technology & Engineering; Founding VP, Clinical Affairs & Network Quality; and Founding VP, Operations & Care Delivery.
The search comes as South West Georgia Homecare continues building the organizational and technology infrastructure for its planned launch in Albany and expansion across Southwest Georgia.
A Founding Team, Not Just a Hiring Round
The company is approaching the leadership search differently from a conventional home care recruitment effort.
Rather than filling a traditional agency hierarchy one position at a time, South West Georgia Homecare is assembling a multidisciplinary founding team around the major functions required to build a technology-enabled healthcare organization.
The roles span capital strategy, financial infrastructure, strategic partnerships, communications, engineering, clinical quality, and care operations.
Several of the founding executive positions are structured as part-time or fractional opportunities initially, allowing experienced professionals and entrepreneurial leaders to participate in building their respective functions during the company's early development stage.
"We're not simply trying to hire a management team," said Justin Atkins, Founder & CEO of South West Georgia Homecare. "We're looking for people who want to help build the company itself. Each founding leader will have an opportunity to shape a function from the ground up and help determine what this organization becomes."
Building the Infrastructure Before the Scale
South West Georgia Homecare is developing a model that combines non-medical home care with digital infrastructure designed to connect families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, referral partners, and internal operations.
The company's existing development work includes workforce infrastructure, provider referral infrastructure, care operations and CRM capabilities, client and family workflows, administrative systems, and a public Resource Center. The company describes these systems as the foundation for a connected operating model that can develop locally before expanding.
The founding leadership search is intended to add experienced ownership around each of those functions.
The VP, Technology & Engineering will lead the company's technology architecture, engineering standards, security architecture, and platform development.
The VP, Clinical Affairs & Network Quality will establish clinical governance and quality standards for the organization's developing provider network.
The VP, Operations & Care Delivery will build the operating playbook, scheduling discipline, and caregiver workforce engine.
The VP, Grants & Strategic Funding and VP, Finance & Capital will establish the company's funding and financial infrastructure.
The VP, Strategic Partnerships will develop relationships across healthcare and the broader Southwest Georgia ecosystem, while the VP, Communications & Community Affairs will lead the company's public affairs, community engagement, and external communications.
Together, the positions represent the core leadership architecture the company believes it needs to move from development into operation and, eventually, regional expansion.
Albany Is the Starting Point
South West Georgia Homecare is deliberately building its initial organization in Albany.
The company identifies Albany as its initial market and is developing a broader Southwest Georgia operating model around seven counties: Dougherty, Lee, Worth, Terrell, Mitchell, Calhoun, and Baker. Its stated strategy is to establish a repeatable operating model locally before evaluating additional Georgia markets as readiness and capacity allow.
That approach also makes the leadership search part of a larger local workforce strategy.
In addition to the founding executive positions, the company is recruiting registered nurses, clinical leadership, client care coordination, personal care assistants, companion caregivers, overnight and live-in caregivers, and business development professionals.
As the company moves toward its operating phase, the organization expects its workforce to expand across clinical care, caregiving, technology, operations, administration, business development, and other supporting functions.
For a company being built in a regional market, the objective is not only to deliver care. It is also to build an organization capable of creating professional opportunities in the community.
"Albany is not simply a market we're entering," Atkins said. "It's where we're building the company. We want people here to be able to look at SWGA Homecare and see opportunities to work in healthcare, technology, operations, business, and leadership without having to leave Southwest Georgia to find them."
Technology at the Center of the Model
Technology is being developed as part of the company's operating infrastructure rather than as a separate product layered onto the business.
South West Georgia Homecare says its digital systems are intended to support client experiences, referral coordination, workforce recruitment and onboarding, care operations, CRM workflows, reporting, and administrative oversight.
The company's long-term strategy is to develop a standardized, technology-supported model that can be expanded as the organization gains operating experience and capacity.
That strategy is reflected in the composition of the founding leadership search, which places technology and engineering alongside clinical affairs, operations, finance, capital, partnerships, and community affairs.
The Next Chapter
South West Georgia Homecare formally established its Georgia corporate structure earlier this month and has continued developing its workforce, technology, referral, resource, and operational infrastructure as it progresses through its regulatory preparation.
The company is not yet presenting itself as a fully operational home care provider. Instead, it is using this stage to build the organization, recruit its leadership and clinical talent, establish its systems, and prepare for its future operating phase.
The founding leadership search represents the company's latest step toward that objective.
"We have spent the early stage building the foundation," Atkins said. "Now we're looking for the people who can help us build the institution."
