Albany-founded company begins recruiting providers for a regional directory while exploring how mobile connectivity could support healthcare access

ALBANY, Ga., October 19, 2026 — South West Georgia Homecare LLC is opening Phase 1 provider enrollment for its Healthcare Navigator, a platform being developed to help families find healthcare providers and connect with information about services across Southwest Georgia.

The first phase focuses on building the provider foundation: inviting participation, reviewing submitted information, and preparing verified profiles for publication. The company is seeking conversations with healthcare practices and organizations interested in helping shape a resource grounded in the needs of the region.

For Founder and CEO Justin Atkins, the initiative grows from a personal understanding of the work families face when arranging support. Growing up alongside a brother with cerebral palsy, Atkins saw his family navigate the search for dependable caregivers and information about available resources. That experience informs the company’s broader effort to make finding support easier.

A regional resource built through local participation

Healthcare Navigator addresses a practical question: where can a person begin when they need help finding care?

Phase 1 gives participating providers an opportunity to submit information about their organizations and services for review. Publication follows the platform’s verification and approval process. Participation does not guarantee patient inquiries or referrals, and a directory listing does not replace a family’s own evaluation of a provider.

Provider feedback during this phase will help SWGA identify missing information, improve enrollment, and understand what families and practices need from a regional navigation resource.

The company’s initial focus is Albany and surrounding Southwest Georgia communities. Its ambition is to build a useful regional resource through accurate information and sustained relationships with the organizations serving those communities.

Exploring the connectivity side of healthcare access

Alongside provider recruitment, SWGA is beginning exploratory outreach to mobile broadband providers, including AT&T and T-Mobile, to explore how connectivity programs and business solutions could support its long-term healthcare access strategy, including its planned Telehealth Access Network.

The inquiry reflects an important part of the company’s planning: digital tools must account for the circumstances of the people expected to use them. SWGA intends to explore questions around mobile access, affordability, and how families could reach digital resources when a reliable home internet connection is unavailable.

These discussions are exploratory. SWGA has no announced partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, or commercial agreement with AT&T or T-Mobile. No connectivity program or benefit is being offered through this announcement.

Building the organization behind the platform

Healthcare Navigator forms part of SWGA’s broader development work, which includes its public Family Care Resource Center, workforce recruitment infrastructure, and systems for care coordination and administrative oversight.

The company is preparing its home care business for launch while completing the required licensing process. Provider enrollment for Healthcare Navigator is separate from authorization to deliver home care services. SWGA will begin regulated services only after obtaining the required approvals.

As the initiative develops, the company welcomes conversations with healthcare providers, community organizations, and regional leaders interested in improving how residents discover available support.
